NEW!

29th June 2018 ~ shadowing a professional planner Monica Smith
Wedding Location: Fennes Manor House in Essex
Placements: 2 wedding day coordination assistants to shadow a successful WPS graduate.
What we know about this placement:

This will be a fun, bright, joyful celebration for a young vibrant couple. Two assistants are required for this wedding. Monica is looking for aspiring planners (no experience necessary) who are “engaging, hard working, bright, warm, fun, well presented, forward thinking, polite and personable, happy to assist with anything, no task too big or too small. Passionate about a career in events planning.” She will be able to give coaching and advice throughout the day and access to documents for your own development.

A short call with Monica will take place before selecting the assistants.

Duties will including responding to any requests on the day, ensuring the bridal party and family stick to timings throughout the day, speaking to suppliers and showing them where to set up. Directing 200-250 guests throughout the day. Assisting with reception set up and some light décor arrangements.

There will be a full brief on arrival at 11am with Monica at venue and you’ll be needed until around 9pm, but expect these times to alter based on the needs of the wedding and guests.

You will need to make your own way to the venue, dinner and lunch will be provided.

Date & Couple: 10th August 2018 for Sophie & Richard
Location: Taplins Place, Hartley Wintney, nr Reading, RG27 8EF
Placements: 2 wedding day coordinators (1 lead, 1 assisting).  No planning required beforehand, just one meeting within 6 weeks of the wedding day.
What we know about this placement: Ideally the meeting should be held at the venue one morning in July, ideally weekend.  There is no public transport to this country venue so at least one of the planners must have a car.  It is fairly close to Reading and the M4 so very accessible by car.  The ceremony and reception are all on site and the theme is rustic – fairly lights, hessian bunting, tea lights in jars with a mint green colour scheme.  One meal will be available on the wedding day for you.  If possible, you could attend the venue the afternoon before to help decorate, as well as attending the wedding day to help with the suppliers, 80 day guests and 120 evening guests.
