The History of the Wedding Planner School

In the 1990s many people set up home businesses as wedding planners and event/party managers but failed to make them profitable because they didn’t have the focus, experience or guidance needed to make a success of this unique business. There were also many individuals doing a bad job and putting the whole industry’s reputation at risk. Just because someone can plan their own wedding does not mean they will be a good wedding planner for somebody else.

The Wedding Planner School was set up to give those who do start in the industry good advice and to provide a benchmark of quality that all wedding planners and event managers must work to. This includes private sole-trading companies and those employed by other event related organisations.

These diploma schemes are often useful for those businesses which have been running unprofitably for some time.

Through such standards and positive media promotion The Wedding Planner School adds value to the use of wedding planners in wider culture. The US has provided a model for the type of wedding planner market that has already begun to take off in the UK and Europe. The Wedding Planner School encourages the growth of this area in order to pre-empt the boom that is traversing the Atlantic in the early 21st Century.
